Occupational hazard
This was the first short film produced at the UTS Animal Logic Academy. I helped create the third sequence, which featured an antigravity pulse and its interaction with the ground.

To art direct the shattered tiles into a specific formation, a custom setup is created which uses target velocity and air resistance.

This method allowed each RBD piece to settle precisely into the rest pose I defined, giving me complete control over the final shape of the destruction.See my breakdown for more information on this technique. Full film
Oniko
The final film we produces at UTS Animal Logic Academy. I am currently working on FX for shattering techniques and character effects.

My role entails experimenting with various simulation techniques and procedural setups in order to achieve a specific stylized look. The project is still in development, and I will keep this section updated with new breakdowns and final renders as it progresses.
This was a collaborative project led by my classmate Pranav, who wanted to explore lighting a CGI dinosaur. He handled the animation using a rigged dinosaur model from Gumroad, while I created the FX for plants and shockwave.

I focused on developing an art directable plant simulation system driven by wind vectors. And a procedural skeleton system created from UV data. With this method any plant model with proper UVs can be imported and simulated seamlessly, allowing for flexible reuse across different assets and shots.
One click screenshot in houdini
This tool began as a simple idea to make sharing work in Houdini faster. taking a simple screenshot in Houdini used to require clicking trough multiple menus. To fix that, I built a custom shelf tool that captures the current viewport with one click and instantly copies it to the clipboard, ready to paste into Slack or Discord with Ctrl + V.

The tool works seamlessly in both SOP and Solaris, helping artist share quick updates and visual notes. Its now a small but usefull shelf tool at UTS Animal Logic Academy. It's also availabe for free on my Gumroad.
Finding the missing link
A motion design project created in collaboration with the Australian Museum during my Bachelor of Visual Communication at UTS.
The goal was to raise awarness about the long nosed potoroo, a threatened Australian marsupial ofter mistaken for a rodent.

"Finding the missing link" recieved a Merit Award from the Australia Graphic Design Association (AGDA) in the student motion category. Breakdown video
